Except for the extreme northern and southern regions, the various Bearded dragons species are virtually distributed all over Australia.

Inland Bearded dragons (Pogona vitticeps) are mainly distributed throughout the Central parts of Australia, including New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. They prefer arid woodlands and deserts and spends much of the day basking in bushes, trees & rocks.
